CAKE!

I just love my sister-in-law, Maria...

There she is. Say hello to everyone, Maria.

She heard my SOS yesterday and answered the call...with CAKE!

Last night, she dropped off some Jennifer Shaffer cake.

(It says: Melanie's Moments , a survival kit for motherhood)

Now for those of you outside the northwestern part of PA, that will mean nothing to you. But for those of you who've ever had a taste of that little piece of heaven (i.e. cake by Jen Shaffer), you know the importance.

Well, Maria knew that cake could solve all my woes, and she rushed it right over. Ahh Maria, you are a life-saver!

Jen Shaffer makes the best cakes. Not only do they taste great, they are magnificently decorated. She is a true artist.

Please enjoy these pictures of Jennifer Shaffer cake while I shove some in my mouth...

(Yes, our wedding cake. Oh hello, T, Erin, Lynn, Darren and Will.)

Ahh, there's nothing like a sugar-induced bliss for whatever ails ya! (And forget the fact that I just TOTALLY undid all the work I did at the Y this morning...it was worth it!)

I love her cakes too. You are lucky to have such a great sister-in-law. I do not have any sister-in-laws. Have a good one. Amy

Just the thought of a Jen Shaffer cake!!! They are out of this world.....especially her vanilla with the hint of almond flavoring. MMMMmmmmm.. Each one is a work of art. I always feel guilty ruining such beautiful creations, but it's never stopped me from licking every last crumb from the plate. So glad someone shared it to make your day!--Val'sm om

SOO funny b/c I just ordered Kayla's birthday cake from Jennifer Shaffer- it's going to be Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street...was hoping she did a good job. Now I can't wait to get it!

Seeing your Jennifer Shaffer cake pictures got me really excited. She's doing my wedding cake next year, and I was already excited because I love her cakes, but your pics made me even more excited! Thanks!

Oh before I go, I have a funny Jennifer Shaffer cake story. When my niece Iyleigh had her b-day last year, she was on a whole puppy kick. She loved puppies! So, Kara ordered a Jennifer Shaffer cake with a golden retriever on it for Iyleigh's birthday. Well, the boys all wanted to eat the dog and particularly the head, and Kara said that they couldn't because Iyleigh would get the head because it was her birthday. So, she cut out the head and gave it to Iyleigh, who refused to eat it. She kept saying "No eat puppy mommy". It was quite funny. Nothing they did that day or the next could get her to eat it, and they ended up having to throw it away. I guess you can never guess what kids will do even with a wonderful Jennifer Shaffer cake. haha
